Cybersecurity

Defending Iraq's digital infrastructure against evolving threats

Who We Are

Protecting Iraq's Digital Future

The Department of Cybersecurity equips students with the knowledge and skills to protect digital systems, networks, and data from unauthorised access, attacks, and damage. The programme combines theoretical foundations in cryptography and network security with practical skills in ethical hacking, digital forensics, and incident response — producing security professionals ready for Iraq's growing digital economy.

As Iraq's government, banking, energy, and communications sectors become increasingly digitalised, the demand for skilled cybersecurity professionals has grown dramatically. Our graduates are equipped with both the offensive and defensive skills to identify vulnerabilities, respond to incidents, and build secure systems from the ground up.
