The programme covers the full life cycle of oil and gas development — from geological exploration and well drilling through to reservoir management and production optimisation — equipping graduates to contribute to Iraq's energy sector from day one.

Research Specialisations
Reservoir Engineering
Characterisation and modelling of subsurface reservoirs to maximise hydrocarbon recovery while managing reservoir pressure and fluid dynamics.
Drilling Engineering
Design and planning of wellbores from surface to reservoir, including casing programmes, mud systems, and well control procedures.
Production Engineering
Optimisation of hydrocarbon production through artificial lift, well stimulation, and surface processing system design.
